NDA Entrance Exam (II) 2013 National Defence Academy


The Union Public Service Commission will hold the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2013 on 11th  August, 2013 for admission to Army and Air Force wings of NDA for 132nd Course, and for the 94th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 2nd July, 2014
The candidates Joining Indian Naval Academy would undergo 4 years BTech course and would be given an opportunity to join Executive and Technical Branches of the Navy subject to availability of vacancies
Army Wing of National Defence Academy: 12th class pass of the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent examination conducted by a state education board or a university Air Force and Naval Wing of National Defence Academy and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: 12th class pass of the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University
Candidates who are appearing in the 12th class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination
Those candidates who have yet to qualify in the 12th class or equivalent examination and are allowed to appear in the UPSC examination should note that this is only a special concession given to them
They are required to submit proof of passing the 12th class or equivalent examination by 05th December, 2013
Exam Centres: Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bareilly, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Dharwad, Dispur, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Jorhat, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji (Goa), Patna, Port Blair, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, Udaipur, Vishakhapatnam
Fee: Candidates (excepting female SC/ST/PH candidates/ Sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs specified in Note 2 in the notification who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees one hundred only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/ State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur/ Sate Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala /State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card
For the applicants in whose case payments details have not been received from the bank they will be treated as fictitious payment cases and a list of all such applicants shall be made available on the commission website within two weeks after the last day of submission of online application
The applicants shall be required to submit the proof of their fee payment within 10 days from the date of such communication either by hand or by speed post to the commission
On receipt of documentary proof, genuine fee payment cases will be considered and their applications will be revived, if they are otherwise eligible
How to Apply:
Selection Procedure: The Union Public Service Commission shall prepare a list of candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination as fixed by the commission at their discretion
Such candidates shall appear before a Services Selection Board for Intelligence and Personality Test where candidates for the Army/Navy wings of the NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme of Indian Naval Academy will be assessed on Officers Potentiality and those for the Air Force in Pilot Aptitude Test and for Officers Potentiality
PABT applicable to candidates with Air Force as first choice would also be conducted for all SSB qualified candidates with one of the choice as Air Force subject to their eligibility and if they are so willing
Two-stage selection procedure based on Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test has been introduced at Selection Centers/Air Force Selection Boards
All the candidates will be put to stage one test on first day of reporting at Selection Centers/Air Force Selection Boards
Only those candidates who qualify at stage one will be admitted to the second stage/remaining tests
Those candidates who qualify stage II will be required to submit the original certificates along with one photocopy each of (I) original matriculation pass certificate or equivalent in support of date of birth, (ii) original 10+2 pass certificate or equivalent in support of educational qualification
The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfil all eligibility conditions for admission to the examination
Their admission at all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions

Notice of admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry Course (BVSc & AH) in West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences for the academic session 2013-14 through Joint Entrance Test – 2013 to be conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board.
Date of Examination: Saturday, 1st June, 2013.
(a) Candidates must be citizens of India and have attained 17 years of age as on 1st July, 2013. There is no upper age limit.
(b) Educational Qualification: General Candidates must have passed H.S. (10+2) Examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination recognized by the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences with individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Vernacular (or any other fifth subject) along with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the said qualifying examination (10+2). In respect of SC/ST and PC candidates the aforesaid marks will be 40% instead of 50%. Sri Venkateswara University Tirupati LAWCET PGLCET Entrance Test 2013


The LAW Common Entrance Test (LAWCET) 2013 and Postgraduate LAW Common Entrance Test (PGLCET) 2013 will be held by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The law department of the university is conducting the test for admission into a variety of law programmes in Andhra Pradesh.
Programmes
Ø       LLB / BL (5 years)
Ø       Master of Laws (LLM)
Candidates must be Indian nationals, and must also satisfy local/unreserved status requirements for Andhra Pradesh.
Three-year LLB / BL (LAWCET)
In order to appear for the test, you should have a graduate degree (10+2+3) or equivalent exam from a recognised university with aggregate marks of at least 45 percent.
For Scheduled Castes/Schedule Tribes (SC/ST) candidates, there is a five percent relaxation of marks.
Five-year LLB / BL (LAWCET)
To be eligible for this course, you should have passed the two-year intermediate examination (10+2) or equivalent with a minimum of 45 percent aggregate marks.
For SC/ST candidates, there is a five percent relaxation of marks.
LLM / ML (PGLCET)
Eligibility for the course includes an LLB / BL degree. Final year LLB / BL students appearing (or who have appeared) for their exam are also eligible.
You must apply online to appear for the test. You will need to have all necessary documents ready, including date of birth, hall ticket for Secondary School Certificate exam (or equivalent), local status, applicable certificates and parental income. For LAWCET, the fee is Rs 250, for PGLCET the fee is Rs 500. You can pay for the test by debit or credit card. You may also submit payment through AP online, e-Seva or Mee-Seva center.
Ø       Last date to submit application without late fee: 26 April, 2013
Ø       Last date to submit application with Rs 200: 27 April to 5 May, 2013

10TH Nationwide Education & Scholarship Test (NEST - JUNIOR) – 2013


Scholarships for Class XI SC XII Students (Science Stream Only)
NOTE: Students who are appearing in/passing out their Class 10th/12th
            board exams in 2013 are also eligible for NEST-Junior-2013.
Applications are invited for the award of many scholarships worth Rs 20,000/- to Rs 25,000/- each from bona fide students of government recognized schools / colleges of class XI & XII (Science Stream only). Certificates of appreciation are also awarded to all who score 40% & above in the test with All India Ranking (AIR).
The scholarships are awarded based on merit in an online test of two hours. The test comprises of four sections of 50 questions (1 mark for each question) in Physics & Chemistry, Maths / Biology, English Language and Simple Logic & General Knowledge. The syllabus is generally based on the content and level of SSC & HSC books prescribed by the CBSE, ICSE and other State boards in India.
Test centres in all major cities of India.
DATE OF TEST: 28th July, 2013 (Sunday).
LAST DATE WITHOUT LATE FEE: 31st March, 2013
Thereafter, there is late fee of Rs.100/- till 31st May and Rs 200/- till 30th June, 2013.

Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET) 2013 to be held by JNT University


The Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET) 2013 will be held by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological (JNT) University Kakinada on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) on 20 May, 2013. The test evaluates students for admission to Bachelor of Technology (BTech), Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Pharmacy programmes in the All India Council for Technical Education / Pharmacy Council of India (AICTE / PCI) approved institutions. Candidates should have a diploma in technology, engineering or pharmacy, or a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mathematics.
Programmes
The test evaluates students for admission to the following types of programmes in AICTE/PCI approved institutions and universities:
Ø       BTech
Ø       BE
Ø       BPharmacy
In order to appear for the test, you must be of Indian nationality and belong to Andhra Pradesh. Make sure that you qualify for local/non-local status requirements. For educational background, you should have one of the following:
Ø       Diploma in engineering, technology or pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Andhra Pradesh State or an equivalent recognised diploma
Ø       45 percent marks are required (40 percent for reserved category candidates)
Ø       Three-year B.Sc. degree exam with mathematics from a recognised university in Andhra Pradesh
Ø       Current enrollment in a diploma program, and complete practical training for the course prior to college admission
Further eligibility requirements apply based on subject, as you may need to earn a specific diploma in order to enter a particular degree course in engineering or pharmacy.

The registration fee is Rs 300, but additional fees apply if you submit after 1 April, 2013 (see important dates above). The fee can be paid at AP online centres, mee-seva centers, e-seva centres in AP or with a debit/credit card. Make sure to print out the completed application. You must bring this with you on exam day with a passport sized photograph affixed. It is also your responsibility to make sure you have the correct question booklet for the subject in which you are eligible to take admission.
