Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), HQ, Delhi invites ‘Online applications’ from the students who have passed Class X & XII Examination 2013 for the award of under mentioned Scholarship Schemes: 
1. CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child for +2 Studies.
2. Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students. 
3. Renewal of Online applications of CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child awarded in 2012.

Indian Oil Scholarships for Students 2013

Indian Oil offers 2600 Scholarships for Students of 10+/ITI, Engineering, MBBS and MBA courses on merit-cum-means basis
2000 Scholarships are offered for 10+/ITI students. The equitable distribution of scholarships will be State-wise, based on “Number of students who appeared for 10th Standard examination during 2012-13”.
600 scholarships are offered to students pursuing professional courses (Engineering–300 Nos., MBBS-200 Nos. & MBA-100 Nos). The scholarships will be equitably distributed Zone-wise viz. North, South, East & West, based on “Number of students who appeared for 12th Standard examination during 2012-13”.
Students pursuing full time/regular courses (not correspondence/distance/online mode) in these streams & studying in Schools / Colleges / Institutions / Universities recognized by MCI / AICTE / State Education Boards / State Govt. / ICSE / ISC / CBSE / Central Govt. / Association of Indian universities, shall be eligible to apply for the different streams as under:
For 10+ – Bonafide students (full time / regular) in 11th standard / Ist Year of Intermediate course or equivalent course in 2013-14 are eligible to apply.
For ITI - Bonafide students (full time / regular) in 1st year of 2 years ITI course in 2013-14 are eligible to apply.
Engineering & MBBS: Bonafide students (full time/regular) in the first year of Engineering/MBBS degree courses in 2013-14 (minimum 4 years course duration) are eligible to apply.
MBA: Bonafide students (full time/regular) in the first year of 2 years post graduate course in Business Administration/Management in 2013-14 are eligible to apply.
The marks obtained in the qualifying examination making the students eligible to seek admission in the respective first year of these courses will be considered for selection. Minimum eligibility percentage of marks required from the students of various categories in qualifying examination is given in the table.
Percentage of marks obtained in qualifying examination shall be calculated on total aggregate marks of all subjects. In case of Graduates, percentage of marks obtained shall be calculated on total aggregate of marks of all subjects for all the academic years of graduation. 
Normalization of marks for all courses shall be done by using percentile method so as to rationalize the variation of marks provided by different Boards and Universities/Institutions.
INCOME: Gross Joint income of the family of the student from all sources during financial year 2012-13 should not exceed Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) per annum. However, in case of tie, preference will be given to the students whose family income (gross joint income from all sources in 2012-13) is upto Rs. 60,000/- (Rs. Sixty thousand only). Income certificate should be got issued by appropriate civil authorities of the State/UTs/Central Government only, details of which have been specified in General Instructions. Any other Affidavit submitted in support of Income Proof shall not be accepted.
Wards of the employees of IOCL, its joint venture and subsidiary companies and consultant managing the scheme (presently M/s ACE Consultants) are not eligible to apply

Note: Documents received after 15th October, 2013 shall not be accepted. The applicants are advised to send their documents preferably by Speed post or Registered Post.

National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation Scholarships 2013-14

National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation Scholarships Scholarships in India NHFDC Scholarships for Students with Disabilities 
500 SCHOLARSHIPS (NATIONAL FUND) For STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2013-14 National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC), for and on behalf of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, invites applications from Students with Disabilities for award of Scholarship Scheme (National Fund) Under this scheme, 500 National Scholarships will be awarded to eligible students with disabilities for pursuing higher academic/professional or technical qualification. 
Applicant has to apply online (www.nhfdc.nic.in) for scholarship from 01.07.2013 to 31.08.2013 and scholarship shall be awarded once in a academic year under this scheme. Applicant has to submit hard copy of the application duly recommended by the head of the institution. 
Financial assistance can be given for computer with editing software for blind/deaf graduate and post graduate students pursuing professional courses and for support access software for cerebral palsy students. 
Monthly income of the beneficiary/parent or guardian should not be more than Rs 15, 000/ - (Rs. 1.80 Lakh pa) from all sources. Family income includes income of parent/guardian.
Scholarship holder under this scheme will not concurrently hold any other scholarship/stipend.
How to apply: - The applicant has to apply online (www.nhfdc.nic.in) before 31.08.2013 and the printed application form along with requisite documents duly countersigned and recommended by the head of the institution, where they are studying, should reach to: National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC), Red Cross Bhawan, Sector-12, Faridabad-121007. It is to be noted that without a hard copy of application, a candidate’s application in soft copy will not be entertained. 
(i) Academic records (attested copy of certificates and Mark sheets - matric & above), (ii) Family Income Certificate/ Proof of annual income, e.g. Salary Slip, last Income tax Assessment order, (iii) attested copy of Disability Certificate (iv) Course fee receipt (if any) with break up of each item duly paid during the academic session (v) Hostel Certificate or certificate from the house owner in case of accommodation hired by at least by a group of 3 students living together with common mess arrangements.

Last opportunity to complete/correct online data in application for Prime Minister's Special Scholarship Scheme for Jammu and Kashmir 2013-14 from 20.08.2013 to 25.08.2013
AICTE has invited applications for Prime Minister's Special Scholarship Scheme for Jammu and Kashmir 2013-14 in Engineering, Medicine and General Education streams for 2013 - 2014 till 10.08.2013. While processing the online applications, it was observed that in some cases the data entered by candidates is incomplete or incorrect. The provisional merit list scheduled to be displayed on 16.08.2013 is therefore deferred to another date to be notified later. 
All such candidates are informed to complete all fields in the online applications or give correct information in the online application on http://aicte-jk-scholarship.in/ using their user name and password already provided, from 20.08.2013 to 25.08.2013 (till 00.00 hrs). 

Candidates failing to complete or correct the information upto 25.08.2013 (00.00 hrs.) will not be included in the merit list and subsequently not be eligible for being considered for the Special Scholarship Scheme 2013 - 2014

Project Assist Flagship scheme of National Foundation for Communal Harmony NFCH 

Project Assist is the Flagship scheme of National Foundation for Communal Harmony (NFCH) an autonomous organization under Ministry of Home Affairs Govt. of India.

Objective:
The main objective of providing assistance for the physical and psychological rehabilitation of the child victims of communal, caste, ethnic or terrorist violence, with special reference to their care, education and training besides promoting communal harmony, fraternity and national integration.

Eligibility criteria: 
  • A child becomes an orphan or destitute in the sense that either both the parents or the surviving parent or the main bread winner is killed or permanently incapacitated because of communal, caste, ethnic or terrorist violence. 
  • The annual income of the victim’s family does not exceed rupees one lakh. 
  • Child is not receiving any assistance on regular basis from any other source (one time financial assistance provided by state government /union territory administration for such victim is not considered as another source of assistance for this purpose). 

·         Assistance is admissible up to the age of 25 years. However, if a child remains for more than 3 consecutive years in a class he / she will not be eligible to get the assistance.

Graduation / Post Graduation - Rs 1250/- pm per child

Professional courses viz Medical, Engineering & Management – Rs  1500/- pm per child

On-line proposals are invited from AICTE approved Institutions/University departments for disbursement of Post Graduate Scholarship for the 1st Year students admitted in the academic year 2013-14 and IInd Year students admitted in the academic year 2012-13 with valid GATE/GPAT score in ME / MTech / MPharm programmes.
Procedure to be followed by Institutes and students eligible for PG scholarship where they have been admitted:
  • All the Institutes shall upload the PG students details on the AICTE portal on or before 30th August, 2013 and distribute student Unique ID generated by the system to all the PG students admitted in the Institute
  • All the Post Graduate students having valid GATE/GPAT and admitted in AICTE approved Institutions / University departments shall collect student Unique ID from the Institute and Login on the AICTE web portal at www.aicte-india.org and upload following on the portal
    1. Scanned PDF copy of GATE/GPAT score card
    2. Scanned PDF copy of the Passbook
    3. Scanned copy of the Aadhar card, if available
Detailed guidelines and procedure for online registration of students and approval of eligibility of the student by the institute is available at http://www.aicte-india org/PGScholarship.htm
The scholarship will be credited to the account of the student under the DBT scheme after the requisite information is uploaded by the student and the same is verified and approved by the institute.
All eligible students shall upload their information on or before 15th September, 2013 on AICTE web portal and the Institutes shall complete the procedure of student data verification and approval for the eligibility for the receipt of scholarship for the months of July and August on or before 25th September, 2013.
